Unlocking the Future of Smarter Grids — Our New Vinnova Project

We’re excited to announce our latest collaboration: a Vinnova-supported innovation project together with Härryda Energi. This partnership marks a significant step toward digitalizing power grid operations and accelerating Sweden’s transition to smarter, more resilient infrastructure.
Why This Matters
As the energy landscape grows increasingly complex—with distributed renewables, electrified transport, and rising consumer demands—our existing grid systems face new challenges. Traditional maintenance and monitoring approaches are no longer enough.
That’s where our new project comes in.
Together with Härryda Energi, we’re developing a next-generation real-time monitoring and analytics platform built on our advanced merging unit technology. By leveraging machine learning and streaming data from digital substations, we aim to predict faults before they happen, visualize partial discharge patterns, and optimize power quality in real time.
What We’re Building
The project is centered around four key innovations:
Smart Merging Units — Collecting high-resolution sample values, power quality metrics, PMU data, and partial discharge signals across substations.
Secure Cloud Integration — Tunneling data through encrypted VPN or fiber to our AI analytics engine for centralized insights.
Predictive Maintenance — Using AI models trained on historical and live data to detect anomalies and guide preventive actions.
Operator-Friendly Dashboards — Intuitive interfaces that make sense of complex grid behavior, designed with real-time decisions in mind.
